Vijay Mallya’s casino empire is set to become the largest in the country, after the country’s new prime minister announced plans for the countrys first casino in Ville Platte.

The state government is looking at the possibility of building the new casino in two stages, said Vijay Mittal, the state cabinet secretary in charge of the new project.

The first phase would have a capacity of 100,000 slots, while the second phase would only have a seating capacity of about 150,000, Mittal told reporters.

Mallya is a big fan of the Ville Pelt casino in Las Vegas and has previously said he would like to open the first casino to the country.

The government said it will spend up to Rs.1,000 crore to build the Villes casino.

The project is expected to be completed by December 2019.
