How to Make a Ville Vinegrette Recipe from Scratch

In this Villes virtans recipe, I use a very simple, one-step method to make a perfect, creamy, and flavorful Ville.

The recipe is so simple, you won’t be able to make this recipe without one of these steps.

You’ll need:1/2 cup of olive oil, preferably from a can1 tablespoon of lemon juice2 teaspoons of sugar1 teaspoon of cinnamon2 tablespoons of fresh orange juice2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice1 tablespoon dried lavender, preferably fresh or fresh-cut2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil (optional)1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary1 tablespoon crushed fresh thyme, crushed1 tablespoon fresh parsley1 tablespoon ground black pepperTo make the Villes Virtans, combine the olive oil and lemon juice in a medium saucepan.

While the oil is heating, mix in the sugar, cinnamon, and lemon.

Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.

Once the oil has melted, add the lemon juice.

Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer.

Continue to cook until the Villevirtans are reduced to a pale, golden brown color.

Remove from heat and transfer to a plate.

If you’re like me, you’ll be able for the first few minutes to taste the Vils.

When you’re ready to eat, you can remove the Viltans from the pan, cut them into squares, and enjoy!
